Milan Cathedral
The Cathedral of Milan or the Duomo is one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the world and one of the most essential places to visit in Milan. This Gothic cathedral, which began to be built at the end of the 14th century and took five centuries to complete, stands out for its pink white marble façade and for its terrace with spirals decorated with niches, sculptures and reliefs, and crowned by a statue. In its imposing interior is the Statue of Bartholomew the Apostle, a huge organ and a marble altar in the Renaissance style, which keeps in the back a Nail of the Cross of Christ, although our favorite place in the cathedral is the terrace , from which you will enjoy incredible panoramic views of the historic center between statues and pinnacles. A good option to avoid queues at the most visited monument in the city is to book this quick entrance with access to the terrace or this tour with a guide in Spanish, which will allow you to better understand the history of the cathedral.
